In one week, we'll be premiering the first episode of 2 Redheads, so for the next few days, we're counting down to the unveiling with various goodies. Today, we're introducing you to the ladies that give 2 Redheads its name. Here they are:
To put it bluntly: she's the best. She's fun and energetic and—if you're the shy type—she's exactly the kind of person you want as your party companion. Ruby moved to Chicago from downstate Illinois, hoping to break into the theatre community but her need to pay the bills has left her floating through various office jobs over the last few years instead. Fortunately, Ruby's got herself a really great apartment with a landlady who's pleased to have at least one pleasant tenant that delivers rent on time. When her longtime roommate suddenly left town, Ruby was concerned, but after reconnecting with her old work pal Scarlet, the two moved in together. Everything was pleasantly normal until their walk home one night was interrupted by a freak bolt of lightning that changed their lives forever.
Recently voted Most Likely to Be a Wallflower at anything remotely classified as a social function, Scarlet's red hair is perhaps the only thing that makes her stand out in a crowd. She's worked at the same number-crunching job for years and while most people might be stressed out by staring at screens of data, it's dealing with her fellow office-mates that sets Scarlet's teeth on edge. A lifetime of avoiding confrontation hasn't left her the proper set of skills to deal with people. Ruby—who worked in the same office for a hot second a year ago—was the only cubicle buddy that Scarlet ever bonded with. When her old pack of roommates pushed her out with little notice, Ruby was more than happy to take Scarlet in and everything was going swimmingly. Until now, that is.
